Top 5 beauty must-haves for busy moms

I was very lucky to join an exclusive beauty workshop  yesterday for Davao Lady Bloggers and friends. All About Eyes was sponsored by BYS, a new line of cosmetics developed in Australia which continues to fill the void for innovative, good quality and great value cosmetics that everyone can afford. The participants dabbled on everything that has to do with the eyes - brows, lashes and lids using BYS products

Our lecturers were the energetic duo of Ryan Wong and Noeh Jani, young and talented makeup artists behind The Makeup Specialists. Noeh was my former college classmate in Ateneo before he followed his passion in beautifying people. I was very late because of an emergency client meeting that dragged on until way past lunch. But I knew that I had to come despite the delayed appearance - better late than never!

I hijacked a short interview with Ryan and Noeh for their experts' opinion on the five things every busy, multi-tasking mother should have. They were very discerning of what our common beauty concerns are and the fact that moms have limited time and budget. The Makeup Specialists indulged me and sans any more ado, here are their respective top 5 beauty arsenal for moms:

Ryan's list:
1. Corrector/Concealer - to correct and conceal our skin imperfections
2. Pressed powder - that is nearest your skin tone)
3. Eye brow pencil - Ryan suggests to buy one in Taupe (brownish in color that has hints of gray)
4. A good eyelash curler
5. Lip gloss

Noeh's must-haves:
1. Lip and cheek tint - he suggests to choose something in the coral family (orangey-pinkish) which is flattering for most Pinay's skin tone
2. Under-eye concealer - (to hide our tired, snooze-deprived eyes)
3. Pressed powder
4. Eyelash curler and mascara - to open up the eyes
5. A glamorous red lipstick - yes, you read it right - RED lipstick. This will be the accent and will give the "ooomph" to your look.

What you pretty mommas need to have according to Ryan and Noeh
According to Ryan and Noeh, most women have the wrong notion that wearing makeup means covering everything. In turn this not only costs us more but we also lose our natural beauty. Makeup should not hide or transform our faces but should accentuate or flatter our features. It also does not have to be the most expensive brand since what is more important is to know your skin tone and buy products that suit you. I like that!

Thank you BYS for sponsoring the All About Eyes and allowing the Davao Lady Bloggers to use its extensive product line. Visit their official Facebook page here. You can purchase BYS products at the first level of the department store inside SM Lanang Premier, Davao City but they have other outlets around the country. All About Eyes was successfully organized by Davao's very own Ria of Shoppingera.net.

Kudos too to The Makeup Specialists Ryan and Noeh for sharing their expertise and answering our beauty questions. They offer professional makeup services for events like weddings, debuts, photo and glamour shoots. Like their FB page to view their portfolio, rates and be updated of their makeup workshop schedules. Ryan  and Noeh also have their own FB pages and get to know them.
